    3. We endorse the theme of this Summit “Upholding the Bandung Principles to ensure concerted and adequate response to the challenges of the contemporary world”, particularly at this difficult moment in the History of Humanity, where Our Peoples and Governments are threatened by actions of Interferences and Interventions, provoked by a few Powerful Countries, where unilateralism and hegemonism dangerously intend to impose themselves on Multilateralism and International Law.

    4. Our President, Comandante Daniel Ortega Saavedra, has repeatedly proposed to the International Community the need to establish a new Contract of International Relations, based on Respect, Dialogue, Understanding, Sovereign Security, Peace, Cooperation, Progress, without interference, and working within a framework of Equality. In order to achieve global consensus allowing our peoples to implement the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda.

    5. In the world, destabilizing plans and coups against our Legitimate Governments should no longer have a place. We express our militant solidarity with the peoples and Governments of the sister republics of Venezuela and Cuba and the peoples that fight for their independence, sovereignty and self-determination.

    6. The Delegation of the Government of Reconciliation and National Unity of the Republic of Nicaragua welcomes the re-election of Comrade Evo Morales Ayma, President of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, and expresses solidarity with his people and Government.

    7. We urge the International Community not to intervene in the matters of the internal jurisdiction of the States and to respect their personality, sovereignty and independence, without interference in the institutional processes of each nation, acting in good faith and without double standards on the internal matters of the countries.

    8. We express our solidarity with the brother peoples of Ecuador and Chile, who once again show us that power resides in the people, by exercising true democracy and fighting and demanding for their socio-economic and political rights.

    9. The Government of Reconciliation and National Unity of Nicaragua continues to work, advancing in the Struggle against Poverty and aiming to achieve the other sustainable development goals, as well as the important positive indicators of economic, political and social development, as well as citizen and Sovereign security, which we have achieved in recent years and that are recognized by the international community and specialized financial organizations.

    10. In Nicaragua, we continue to consolidate our stability, security and Socio-Economic Development, preserving and protecting our Nature against Climate Change, with the Protagonism of Families and Youth, with Gender Equality and with the spirit of responding to contemporary demands and challenges. The Truth is triumphing, and our country continues on the positive path of Peace and progress which we have been building.

Mr. President,

    11. The future of our civilization urgently needs a fair model of sustainable development, friendly to Mother Earth, in order to ensure the survival of future generations.

    12. The great challenge of our Movement of Non-Aligned Countries is to continue reaffirming the principles of Bandung, defending Peace and strengthening relations of equality and respect among our nations, in accordance with the multilateral and multipolar spirit of the Charter of the United Nations.

    13. Within the Non-Aligned Movement, we reject and condemn any type of aggression, including so-called coercive and illegal economic sanctions and interventions in the internal affairs of the countries. The principles, foundations and values that have given life to the NAM are still valid and necessary in today’s complex world, where all our peoples seek and demand to live in Peace, Stability and Progress.

    14. It is vital that the NAM continues to act in concert, guided by the founding principles of Bandung, promoting a new inclusive, participatory, democratic and equitable international order, in favor of a peaceful and prosperous world, in which we all can live in Peace and Harmony, the transcendental human right of all humanity.

    15. We therefore reaffirm that International Law and the postulates of the Charter of the United Nations, continue to be safeguards for the present and future of our peoples in an environment of Peace, Security and Stability.

    16. We greet and congratulate the Republic of Azerbaijan, its Government, and its People for the Presidency of this Movement, and we wish them the best of successes.

    17. We also thank the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela for its leadership and the efforts made at the head of our Movement during its Presidency, safeguarding with great conviction the principles and doctrines that gave birth to our movement. We recognize the leading role of President Nicolás Maduro Moros, in the leadership of the Non-Aligned Movement during the 2016-2019 period.

Mr. President,

    18. From this moment forward, please know that you have all of our support and collaboration to continue advancing in the strengthening and revitalization of the NAM and to strengthen the rights and aspirations of our people, without interferences or aggressions, in a plane of sovereign equality, mutual respect, peace and stability.

Thank you very much, Sisters and Brothers!
