TOMÁS, CRYSTALS AND MIRRORS
Remarks by Compañera Rosario Murillo today
We have celebrated and we are celebrating, the Days of Peace, the National Day of Peace on the 19th, but we know that every day is for consolidating and defending the Peace that God leaves us, that God gives us, and that we defend, protect, as a Patrimony and Treasure of Our Blessed Land... A Land of Heroes and Martyrs, by the hundreds of thousands... Sacred Land and Blood, which we guard with Ardor and Courage and with Infinite Respect.
Let's make our way, in the everyday Struggles and Victories, with Full Rights. In Justice and Concord. For the Common Good that we all demand. Along Ways of Work, Security, Stability and Just Development. In Ways of Joy, Praise and Gratitude to the God of All Victories, for the Miracles that He pours out on this Nicaragua of Ours, Worthy, Sovereign, Brave, Strong of Soul, Life and Heart. Our Nicaragua of Christian, Socialist and Solidarity inspired Love.
We prepare, we continue preparing, because we want to work more and to work better, in these conditions of Fulfillment that we have won, that we have, now when we live in a Time of Creation of another World... Another World, Multipolar, Dignified, Sovereign. The World of Peoples. The indispensable World.
We live in lucid Times... Times of Serenity and Wisdom... Times, Times, Times, of the Call of the Patriotic Nation. Of the Nation and Freedom... The incessant call for Respect, for Independence, for the Sovereign Struggles of the Peoples, for our Sovereign Struggles, for our Sovereignty, as the Noble and Courageous Nation of Darío, Andrés, Zeledón, Sandino, Carlos, Tomás, Daniel.
Respect, we clamor for Respect, we demand Respect, for our Determination, for our Conviction of Being Free. To continue onward along our Paths of Liberation, out of our own decision. To continue loving our Nation, and loving each other, as Good Christians, as a People, a People of God, a People of Solidarity, a People of Fraternity, a Socialist People... A people that we know are making our own way. We, who are a People who make our way, living, singing, celebrating, who know very well, know we are made of Struggles, of Vigor, of Honor and Glory. Of Magnificent, Formidable, Extraordinary History!
We celebrate Tomás in his Patient Impatience, Majestic and Triumphant Patience... Tomás, who knew how to see the Light... Tomás the Unyielding, who full of Supreme Love for Nicaragua gave everything, for the sake of Everyone.
On the 30th we celebrate Tomás... Tomás, Crystals and Mirrors, and we say it to the sound of Revolutionary and Evolutionary Bells, Sacred Bells. Because Tomás, Singular Tomás, the Poet, the Comandante, the one who pursued the Sign, the Metaphors, the Dreams... Tomás, who knew how to ring out the realities with all the Devotion of a True Sandinista and a True Revolutionary.
Tomás, Admiration, Loyalty, Commitment, all permanent... Tomás, who knows that Struggle is the Highest of Songs. And that everything may pass... And everything remains. Tomás, in the Sandinista Popular Revolution that is an irreversible Historical Fact, whose Beautiful and Eternal Dawn is Irreversible.
Tomás, Radiant like all our Best Children, conquering Freedom, Democracy and the Right to Live in Peace, to live securely, working prospering, and precisely with all our Rights.
On the 30th, as we were saying, in this Month of Infinite Victories we celebrate in a big way the Intense, Fruitful, Life of Tomás, and we celebrate in a big way the Day of all Workers', Labor Day, the Day of the Worthy Laurels of this Incomparable People, Our People, Our Nicaragua.
Tomás, made of Audacity. Tomás, the Enlightened Rebel... Tomás, who never knew cowardice... Tomás, Son of the indescribable Courage of the Nicaraguan People.
Honor and Glory to you, Tomas! We celebrate you, Poet, Comandante, Beloved Son of Darío and Sandino. Son of Nicaragua!
