Managua, March 26th 2025
PRESIDENTS AND FOREIGN MINISTERS
OF THE MEMBER COUNTRIES OF THE
CENTRAL AMERICAN INTEGRATION SYSTEM (SICA)
Dear Brothers and Sisters :
We have received the unusual communication from the PPT/Costa Rica, whereby, assuming functions no one has granted them, they dare to issue orders to a Government and a Sovereign Country, threatening to impose measures harmful to the democratic and institutional order, unacceptably aggressive of course against our own legal system, but also prejudicial to all the regulations and Protocols of the SICA.
Faced with this indescribable, unjustifiable aggression, whose incomprehensible sense of superiority closely resembles the attitudes and postures of the colonialists of the Earth, the Sovereign and Dignified Government of our Blessed Nicaragua, vigorously protests to the usurping Government of Costa Rica, reminding them that they own neither Central America, nor SICA and much less Nicaragua.
In the past, and more than once, Costa Rica sought to take over and occupy Nicaragua and even took their delusional megalomania and narcissism to the extreme of planting their flag on our Legacy, on our Heritage Cities, such as Granada.
We remind you that yesterday you were defeated and would only suffer defeat again were you to dare trying to usurp our Sovereignty and National Dignity.
We condemn and reject the impossible, unjustifiable, egocentric attitude of Costa Rica, which, as so often before, aims to impose itself on our institutions and commits the sacrilege of addressing us using insolent pro-imperialist language.
Gentlemen of the Government of Costa Rica,
We do not accept your terms and as our General Sandino rightly said, we do not fear you, we do not even respect you. We are a brave People who throughout our history have been able to defend our National Honor.
Given your unacceptable terms, our only response is: in Nicaragua we neither sell out, nor do we surrender, let no one think otherwise!.
Neither subjects, nor slaves. We are Nicaraguans with History, Glory and Memory by the Grace of God.
