The Palestinian Cause Is The Cause Of The World's Peoples

The Government of Reconciliation and National Unity of Nicaragua, faithful to its anti-imperialist and solidarity inspired vocation, has taken a courageous and transparent decision in temporarily suspending its lawsuit before the International Court of Justice (ICJ) for the crimes committed against the Palestinian people.

Far from representing resignation, this measure reflects a position of revolutionary coherence given the suffocating economic limitations imposed by a profoundly unjust international system, designed to protect the powerful and punish those who dare to challenge their hegemony.

In a world dominated by hypocrisy and double standards, Nicaragua raises its voice with dignity: the voice of the world’s peoples who do not kneel, who do not sell out, who do not remain silent in the face of injustice. Despite blockade, pressure and extortion, the Government of Reconciliation and National Unity remains firm in its commitment to justice, to the self-determination of peoples and true solidarity.

The temporary suspension of the lawsuit is not a retreat, but an act of political conscience. A forceful denunciation of the structure of impunity that prevails in international organizations, where the executioner is protected and the victim is silenced.

Nicaragua does not ask for permission... Nicaragua acts with dignity. And even if some opportunists try to twist this decision in order to attack the Sandinista Front and its leadership, the truth remains the same: Nicaragua has been and will continue to be a bastion of resistance against colonialism, domination and global injustice.

This international system does not punish the criminal... it punishes the victim. The high costs of the proceedings before the ICJ do not justify surrender; on the contrary, they reveal how the international legal system has been captured by powerful interests. Nicaragua is not withdrawing out of fear, but firmly denounces the machinery of impunity.
The history of Nicaragua is written with facts, not with empty rhetoric. It has supported liberation movements on all continents, and its support for the Palestinian people has been constant, firm and courageous. Those who criticize Nicaragua today are the same individuals who have remained silent in the face of the massacres in Gaza, hiding behind human rights arguments while submitting to the imperial powers.

The Nicaraguan people, heir to Sandino and Carlos Fonseca, recognize their allies. Nicaragua knows how to differentiate between genuine solidarity and disguised political opportunism.

This is a call to the true defenders of justice:

Where are they?

Where are the rich governments who finance wars but do not contribute a penny to the legal defense of the Palestinian people?

With modest resources, Nicaragua has done more than many with every means at their disposal.

Palestine lives in the heart of Nicaragua... and the Sandinista flame still burns brightly.

This is not an end, but rather the beginning of a new stage of struggle, more conscious, more steadfast. Justice is not limited to a court room, it lives in the resistance of the peoples.

As long as there is a Palestinian child under bombardment, Nicaragua will not be silent.

As long as a people in the world remains oppressed, Sandinismo will be a trench of dignity and resistance.

To those who criticize out of hatred, we say: you may lie, you may scream, but you will never be able to erase the truth. Nicaragua has been, is and will be on the side of  oppressed peoples. The Palestinian cause is ours too.

The hatred does not weaken us... it confirms to us that we are on the right path.

And to those who do retain some conscience, we say with clarity:

Palestine lives on!
The struggle continues!
A Free Nation or death!
