AT THE CEREMONY IN COMMEMORATION OF THE
80TH ANNIVERSARY OF VICTORY DAY OVER FASCISM

• Comrade Mikhail Ledenev, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Nicaragua;
• Comrade Gustavo Porras, President of the National Assembly;
• Representatives of the Presidency of the Republic, State Bodies, Cabinet of the Government of Reconciliation and National Unity, Municipalities, Institutions for Defense, National Security and Citizen Security.
• Brothers and Sisters, Members of the Diplomatic Corps accredited to our country;
• Esteemed Officials and Special Guests of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Nicaragua;
• Members of the Media Council of Communication and Citizenship.
Allow me to convey the Fraternal Greetings and Affection of our Co-Presidents of the Republic, Comandante Daniel Ortega Saavedra and Comrade Rosario Murillo Zambrana, to Comrade President Vladimir Putin, and to the Heroic People and Government of the Russian Federation, on this day when we are commemorating the historic date which marked the end of World War II and the Victory over Fascism 80 years ago.
Today, as we commemorate Victory Day of the Great Patriotic War and the Triumph of the Glorious Red Army of the Soviet Union over Nazi Germany, we celebrate the Victory over hatred, intolerance and racism on May 9, 1945.
In this Ceremony, we pay tribute to the nearly 30 million Soviet Sisters and Brothers who, with Courage, Heroism and Love for their Homeland, offered their lives in the cruelest and bloodiest war in human history in order to end the expansion of Fascism.
We express our recognition and respect to the War Veterans for their sacrifices and contributions towards Peace, Freedom, Justice and Stability. Victory Day lives on in the memory and hearts of the Russian People and the Peoples of the World.
Comrades,
It is clear in the memory of all Peoples, that without the Heroism of the Soviet People and the Red Army, without that historic commitment to Freedom, the Victory over Nazi Germany would have never been possible.
We see how today, the Brotherly Russian People continue to be attacked by the heirs of Fascism, by Western elites who remain determined to impose their will and expansionist ambitions, exacerbating violence and hatred.
The Free Peoples of the World are aware of the new forms Fascism takes, but its racist and criminal essence remains the same, which was defeated by the Soviet People 80 years ago. Its provocations and ambitions today are also being defeated by the Brave and Heroic People and Government of the Russian Federation.
The great challenges facing the world today are defied with Friendship and Solidarity among Free Peoples, by working hand in hand to build the New Multipolar World Order, based on Respect for the Sovereignty and Dignity of all Peoples, and the desire to live in a Just and United World in Peace, Security and Well-being, without impositions, without hegemonies, and free from threats.
The Nicaraguan People knows of Struggles and Victories. We are a Free and Sovereign People who stand firmly against those who seek to impose their interventionist will against the Victories we are building.
We share with the Russian People and Government the firm determination to never allow the continuation of Fascism. We do not and will not allow the return of violence, hatred and exclusion promoted and financed by external interference and its oligarchic lackeys.
On this historic occasion, we reiterate our commitment to continue strengthening the Bonds of Brotherhood and Cooperation that unite us, as well as our firm and unwavering support to the People and Government of the Russian Federation in their struggle against Fascism and external aggression.
Our lasting recognition to the Brave, Heroic and Always Victorious People of Russia!
