MOTHERS OF LIGHT AND LIFE
The Presidency of the Republic, through its Co-Presidents, ratifies the National Assembly’s declaration of Nicaragua’s Mothers' Day, traditionally celebrated every May 30th, as an Obligatory National Holiday.
On that Day we honor our Mothers who, out of Pure Love, have accompanied their Families, their Children and our Blessed Nicaragua with their Vitality, Vigor, Joy, Strength and Faith, in all the Battles and all the Victories.
Honoring Mothers and declaring their Day a National Holiday is a Duty and a Responsibility that we assume honorably, knowing that our Blessed Nicaragua, Mother of Us All, Forever Dignified, Sovereign and Free, celebrates this date with visits to the Communities, Towns and Municipalities where we reunite with our Mothers, or visit our Mothers in their Holy Resting Place, where we offer Flowers and Songs in accordance with our Culture of Love and Peace.
We live every May 30th in Love, Hope and Certainty, striving and working All Together to enhance our Lives, united as a Family and as a People of God.
A Mother's Love is God's Love that manifests itself with the best Feelings and the greatest Dreams which we are making come true every day, with the Favor and Grace of the Heavenly Father, and with the Hardworking, Harmonious Vocation that animates and mobilizes the Hearts of all Nicaragua’s Families and Homes.
We make our way along with our Mothers, here or on another Plane of Life, but Always Together, as Great Spirits of Light, Life and True Truths, consolidating, protecting and defending Peace, which is our Right and our Sacred Heritage.
Long live Nicaragua’s Mothers!
