Dear Sister, Dear Brother,
Madam President and Prime Minister:
On this historic and solemn occasion, on behalf of the People and the Government of Reconciliation and National Unity of the Republic of Nicaragua, and in our own name, we join with deep respect and joy the brotherly People and Government of India in commemorating Republic Day, marking the 76th anniversary of the Proclamation of the Republic of India on 26 January 1950.
This date represents a fundamental milestone in the history of the Indian People, when, following a long and courageous struggle for independence, the Constitution of India entered into force, enshrining the principles of sovereignty, self-determination, justice, equality, and dignity for all. The proclamation of the Republic of India affirmed the full expression of its national identity and its commitment to democracy, pluralism, and peace.
From our Nicaragua, Always Blessed and Always Free, we celebrate alongside you this historic legacy, which has strengthened India as a nation of profound cultural, spiritual, and human richness, and as an actor committed to cooperation, multilateralism, and understanding among the peoples of the world.
On this occasion, we reaffirm our willingness to continue strengthening the bonds of friendship, mutual respect, and solidarity-based cooperation that unite Nicaragua and India, inspired by shared values of peace, sovereignty, and development with social justice.
