Confronted by the unjustified, aggressive and irresponsible statements of the Foreign Minister of the Italian Republic, Don Antonio Tajani, who has insulted, with European arrogance going beyond every norm of respect for Relations between Peoples and Governments, the People and Government of Nicaragua, as a forceful expression of our Sovereignty and National Dignity, we are informing the Government of Italy and in particular, Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani, that we are breaking off all Diplomatic Relations with the Government of Italy.
We have lived very good moments of absolute Respect and Understanding of our Processes with Respectful Italian Authorities, whom we had the Privilege and Honor to meet in years past, to discuss and to address the historical circumstances of the world in which we live.
Today, when we have to confront this ignoble situation, we deeply regret that aggressions such as those we described have occurred, in contrast to what has been our historical bond with Italy and other Fraternal countries, and we hope those better days that humanity so much needs and demands will come.
We inform and proceed to ensure the necessary processes for the fulfillment of this Sovereign and Dignified decision of Nicaragua.
