On the solemn occasion of commemorating the 58th Anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago this August 31, on behalf of the People and Government of Reconciliation and National Unity of the Republic of Nicaragua, and on
our own behalf, we wish express our warmest Congratulations to You, the People and the Government of Trinidad and Tobago.
Along with our Common Caribbean Identity, Our Nations share the Struggle to achieve Integration and Development, as well as the Will to maintain Our Caribbean America as a Zone of Peace and Prosperity for the Coexistence of our Free and Sovereign Peoples.

The Government of Reconciliation and National Unity wishes to reiterate its Invariable Commitment to continue strengthening the Bonds of Brotherhood, Solidarity and Cooperation that unite our Peoples and Governments.
