NEW VACCINES TO ARRIVE
With much Joy, Hope and with gratitude to God, we have received good news from PAHO/WHO informing that, in a few days, we will receive the first 135 thousand doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine against COVID-19, manufactured by India and distributed through the COVAX Mechanism, GAVI and PAHO/WHO.
These first 135 thousand doses represent 26 percent of the 504 thousand (COVAX) that, by the will of God, will arrive in the First Semester of this Year 2021, as we have announced in recent days.
Our Blessed Nicaragua, throughout this Year 2021, will receive 2,697,056 doses of vaccines against COVID-19, through the COVAX Mechanism, in order to protect 20% of our population.
To serve the entire population, over 500 thousand doses will be added, as already agreed upon with the Serum Institute of India, and with new Agreements still pending. 3 million 800 thousand doses of the SPUTNIK V vaccine have also been arranged with the Russian Federation.
The Vaccination Programs and Schedules will be made known to our entire population based on the times and modalities that correspond to the arrival of the contracted and/or donated medications to our Nicaragua.
