On the special occasion of commemorating the 58th Anniversary of Africa Day, we wish to express our warmest Congratulations to all the Peoples and Governments of the African Continent, who continue to advance and prosper as Free, Independent and Sovereign States, inspired by African Values and nurtured by enduring traditions.
Our most sincere congratulations are also extended to all Afrodescendant Peoples and the Great African Diaspora, established throughout the world and who commemorates this historic date by celebrating Life, Peace, Harmony, Respect, Culture, Traditions, and History.
The People and Government of Reconciliation and National Unity of the Republic of Nicaragua are proud to participate in this important celebration, recognizing the African roots of the Nicaraguan national identity; and highlighting the contributions of our Afrocaribbean Peoples in the creation of a Multiethnic and Pluricultural Nicaragua, which values respect for diversity as a fundamental pillar for the construction of a true Democracy... Genuine, Equitable and Enduring.
In this year 2021, which has been declared as the “Year of Arts, Culture and Heritage of the African Union: Levers for Building the Africa We Want,” Nicaragua reiterates its unwavering commitment to continue strengthening the Historical Bonds of African Brotherhood, Fraternal Solidarity and Mutual Cooperation that exist with the Peoples and Governments of the African Continent.
