Nicaragua is the country that has more "presidential candidates" in the world than any other, with the innovative quirk that they are candidates without political parties, without programs of government, without nation-building projects, without flagship principles, without a political base, without popular support and with the common element that they all serve as employees and intermediaries the gringo interests of the United States in its aggression against Nicaragua.
Where did they ever register to hold such a status?
Those who destroyed the country in 2018 were called "students," when everyone knew they were not. It was comon knowledge where the hordes that ravaged the country came from.
Now, those who provided the money to organize and carry out the multiple criminal actions perpetrated against Nicaragua's people are being called "presidential candidates." Everything they did followed a CIA-dictated plan with a very strong flow of dollars.
Before implementing the plan given to them by the White House, they prefabricated many NGO's that mostly dedicated to key issues such as defense of freedom of expression, consolidation of democracy, governance... etc, these concepts being the means they use to deceive the naive.
These organizations, disconnected from the country's reality, helped to recruit young people by means of attractive training plans, instructing young people in politics, social networks, activism in favor of human rights and the environment. These groups are the ones that rebelled, with exceptional violence, and joined with the Episcopal Conference in 2018 seeking to arrogate themselves leadership of Nicaragua's youth, something they never had, nor have, nor will ever have.
They trained many young people in the use of social networks and indoctrinated them against the national government and in favor of the US stars and stripes, with the illusion that they would complement each other working with those who carried out the terrorist actions to overthrow, at most within a week, the government elected by popular vote. A total, self-evident, obvious failure.
Other groups and individuals received funds to recruit for cash, those who destroyed institutions, burned historical and cultural relics, tore down plaques and metal structures that symbolized a love of life; created concentration camps through the roadblocks by means of which they held whole townships hostage for over three months; torturing, raping, murdering; even preventing the passage of ambulances with seriously ill people who died where they were held up.
At the same time that they created all these ad-hoc NGO’s and financed terrorist groups, they bought and recruited so called "independent" media and journalists, independent only in their venality and mercenary opportunism, whom they trained in the use of the regime change manual prepared at the White House.
And so now too the gringo plan that sought to regime change then, continues to try and overthrow president Daniel Ortega and eradicate Sandinismo.
This cycle began in 2011 - or perhaps even before - in which the gringos' most reliable local servants presented a project, whose contents had already been set out by the Yankees, in defense of freedom of expression, democracy, voting, governance ... the usual blah, blah, blah.
Once approved, the project, which the gringos themselves had sketched out, was funded with multi-million dollar payments channeled via the various local agents involved in the sinister plan, in which coup promoting media and mercenary journalists, took the lead, projecting themselves as leaders of a non-existent, anti sandinista mass movement.
These being the most well known faces and voices, thanks to all the radio and television programs, and newspapers purchased and kept going with funds from foreign governments, the United States now declares that the prisoners, now under investigation for common crimes and for carrying out their terrorist plan, be referred to as "presidential aspirants and candidates."
With this falsehood, they seek to hide the fact that these individuals are being prosecuted for offences under Nicaragua's criminal code, the principal of which is treason, in order to manipulate international public opinion, already predisposed to believe anything the pro-imperialist media reports.
