NICARAGUA, INDEPENDENT COUNTRY; NOT UNDER THE AGENDA OF THE EUROPEAN UNION OR WASHINGTON.
The "opinion factory" and the attacks against Nicaragua have intensified. It was to be expected, as the elections will be held in four months. This small Central American country has always aroused passions, debates and controversies. That of the "political prisoners" is just another stone in this rotten building.
1. Nicaragua is one of the most attacked countries in Latin America, and has been since its foundation. It has been a source of attacks and disputes between Spain, England and the United States. The mercenaries of the last hundred years are none other than the heirs of the American buccaneer William Walker.
2. Faced with so many conspiracies from the North, the Nicaraguan government had to strengthen its legal framework in order to limit Western interventionism. In April 2018, the reform of the pension system was the propitious space for an attempt to consummate, that which since 2007 had been prepared through the financing of NGO´s, using the Trojan horse called “Democracy and Human Rights”, a coup to overthrow a legitimate government, but again “Out goes the stunned gringo” thanks to the popular support that the FSLN has. This attempt to destabilize this brave little Central American country through the financing of groups and movements that murdered, raped and tortured through the roadblocks, showed once again that US expansionist and control policies are not a thing of the past.
3. Investigations, and even the mainstream media, have had to acknowledge that this terrorist-inspired movement was financed by the United States, coordinated and prepared by USAID and various NGO´s that, under the guise of defending human rights, apply by force the American guidelines. This is a long-standing modus operandi, which Mr. Soros has already replicated in many countries.
4. This perverse financing system aims to destabilize, using the opposition to radicalize their inflammatory speeches, otherwise they would stop benefiting from the mass of dollars promised by their bosses. That is why they ask for a military invasion of their country or economic sanctions. These are crimes, which explains the arrests. Likewise, the financing of the political opposition by the United States is considered illegal, since its only objective is to destabilize the country and subject it to foreign interests, mainly North American.
5. We regret that European members of parliament are following the political line of the Nicaraguan opposition, which has nothing to offer but to become a lackey of the United States. The European Union must once again have its own foreign policy. Rather than interfere on humanitarian grounds, it should apply international law that recognizes national sovereignty and promotes peace. Furthermore, we note indignation of the members of parliament is particularly selective and in line with the more right-wing position of the United States.
6. Instead of howling with the pack, the parliamentarians would do well to analyze what the United States' policy of interference has been in recent decades: a policy of death and slaughter, of impoverishment and submission. All this was financed, in the 1980´s, by the cocaine trafficking organized by the CIA between Colombia and the United States and by the sale of weapons to Iran. This is the famous Iran-Contra portal, condemned by the International Court of Justice.
7. An unavoidable and indisputable reality is that Uncle Sam, working through his NGO´s or regional organizations, continues with his pretensions of complete submission by the Latin American countries, and his strategy to put an end to any flash of progressive ideas that are a bad example for the region, we have witnessed what happened with Dilma and Lula in Brazil, Cuba attacked for 60 years, Venezuela under siege and recently the open support for a coup in Bolivia, with which morality can can speak of democracy? The Yankee knows that unity is strength and that a socialist and united Latin America is even more so.
