PRESS RELEASE
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of Reconciliation and National Unity of Nicaragua hereby denounces the continuous interference in the affairs of our country by the Ambassador of the United States of America, Mr. Kevin Sullivan.
Our Sovereignty, which is not up for discussion, nor to be surrendered to any "fierce barbarians", cannot continue to be hurt or violated by the same invaders and interventionists as always.
We call on Mr. Sullivan, in the context of the Vienna Convention, to show a more respectful and responsible conduct, which all States are obliged to observe and comply with, by means of Diplomatic Relations that impose recognition of the Sovereignty and Self-Determination of the Countries concerned.
Mr. Sullivan expresses himself continuously, directly and indirectly, disparaging our Institutional Decisions and our Independent National Policies, those of an Independent Country which is no one's Colony. Mr. Sullivan seeks to ignore our legitimacy as a State, here in Nicaragua where we live in Liberty, Peace and Democracy, thanks to our People's courage, and in accordance with the Principles and Norms of our Constitution.
We demand that Mr. Sullivan cease his covert attacks, his hypocritical greetings, disguised in diplomatic courtesy which he long ago abandoned, and that rather has been, and is now, an example of the continuous, perverse, detestable invasive interference of the United States in our Nicaragua, involving so many abusive and criminal interventions, all of which we have denounced and will continue to denounce.
We live in another stage of New Times with the reinstatement of Decency, Honor and National Decorum, which we defend with Valor, in this Free Nation, of our Glorious Generals Benjamín Zeledón and Augusto C. Sandino.
Refrain, Mr. Sullivan, from continuing to disturb our National Concord, and give up trying to impose your vulgar, conemtpible, aberrant, insolent, ignoble, abominable and decadent Yankee Policy, which we declare, once again, non grata among Nicaraguans.
