REMARKS FROM NICARAGUA BEFORE THE SESSION
OF THE PERMANENT COUNCIL OF THE OAS
8TH DECEMBER, 2021
The Government of Reconciliation and National Unity and the entire State of Our Free, Luminous and Sovereign Nicaragua; on behalf of our Worthy, Fighting and Never Defeated People, attends yet another OAS Interventionist Event, one more in its despicable ignominious, dishonorable, shameless and depraved History of surrender and submission to North American Imperialism.
We are here out of responsibility of the State and Government, aware that this is another infamous, malicious and diabolical game of this much-denounced Organization, subject and satellite of the United States.
Another criminal game like the ones they have played at different times, denying the Rights of the Peoples, and participating as accomplices, conspirators and protagonists in Coups d'Etat, Invasions, Interventions and other destructive and genocidal maneuvers, promoted by North American Imperialism.
We are here to say that we neither sell ourselves, nor surrender, as we have said and done at all times.
We are here to say that WE ARE A FREE MOTHERLAND, the Honorable and Glorious Land of Rubén Darío, Prince of Castilian Letters; of Benjamín Zeledón and Augusto Sandino, Generals and Apostles of Free Women and Men, Forever Free, in these Sacred Lands.
And we are here to denounce the crimes, the abjection, the denial of all the Instruments of International Law and all the Letters that should govern the Relationships between Human Beings, between Families and Communities, of this World and this Continent.
In what is being called a Session, it is the OAS, "such an ugly thing," which is being prosecuted for all its outrages, as the United States, its boss, that is being prosecuted, for crimes against humanity, before all the Courts of Peoples.
This is another moment that underlines the diminished condition of lackeys, that this Organization has lost all legitimacy or credibility and that does not have any respect among the Peoples.
The Positions of Nicaragua have been and continue to be clear, we are nobody’s colony, we are not slaves, we are not anyone's servants; of no Empire and of no Government that considers itself a Power.
In this Humanity, so battered by its own deficiencies and excesses, our emphasis, our searches, our struggles should aim to resolve the Priorities derived from climate injustice, economic injustice, social injustice, and all calamities, sins and sacrileges that selfishness, greed, excesses, ambitions, have caused so many Beings, to be turned into beggars, by colonial and neocolonial voracities.
We accuse the OAS, which does not have the moral authority to accuse anyone, because they are, with the United States, in Sandino's words , "the den where crimes, outrages and atrocities are fabricated” against all Human, Political, Economic, Climate and Social Rights, and against the Freedoms that our Peoples claim and demand, with ever increasing strength and determination.
Nicaragua is Free and will always be Free,
because it has Sons and Daughters,
who love Her!
