Caribbean Sister and Friend:
120 Years after the Foundation of the Panamerican Health Organization, Nicaragua, proudly being a Founding Country, celebrates with You and all of your Teams, the exemplary Solidarity and Union between our Governments and Peoples to promote Health and Wellbeing, as Priorities and Rights of the Families of our Continent.
We have worked with PAHO diligently, from a Face-to-Face, Family and Community Health Model, achieved with the Triumph of the People-President on 19th July, 1979.
We are happy to share the achievements and to be part of Our America and Caribbean Fraternity, which does not exclude anyone and which encourages the eradication of endemic diseases and attention to epidemic diseases, as well as the reduction of Maternal and Infant Mortality, Periodic Vaccination, Specialized Treatment for People with HIV, and everything that PAHO has been achieving in terms of greater life expectancy for our Peoples, in support of coverage of Health for all, and particularly for those who were previously excluded, because they were poor and vulnerable.
As a Founding Country of PAHO, we congratulate ourselves for sharing those advances, without forgetting that which we still lack, and thanking with Love and Hope, the permanent accompaniment of PAHO in the Promotion of Human Dignity and Justice, the Quality, Respect and Affection that our joint work raises every day.
To You, Dear Doctor Carissa Etienne, to your Representative in our Nicaragua, Sister Engineer Ana Solís Ortega, and all her Teams; and to all of ours, in this Free Motherland, of Blessings and National Sovereignty, our recognition and permanent value to the traveled Paths, to those traveled and to those that still must be traveled, fraternally united in the face of all crises, with the Consciousness of our Shared and Differentiated Responsibilities, aiming to find at all times, the indispensable solutions that promote Life, Health and Strength.
