UNAN student Dania Velaska Aleman Sandoval has testified about her time in Managua's UNAN university when in May this year she accompanied the occupation of the campus by a mixture of students, armed delinquents and armed political activists. Her testimony completely discredits false opposition claims that universities like the UNAN and the UPOLI were occupied by spontaneous peaceful student protesters. She also categorically implicates the Catholic Church in providing support to these armed groups. Her testimony demonstrates how Nicaragua's political opposition cynically exploited genuine students by using them as cover for criminal and terrorist activity.
