Over the last couple of days, tourists aboard the Norwegian cruise ship "Fram" visited Corn Island. Since the original "Fram" was a ship of revolutionary design intended to resist being stuck in ice during Arctic exploration by the outstanding Norwegian scientist, explorer and humanitarian Fridtjof Nansen, it is a curious irony that a century later its namesake should be cruising Nicaragua's Caribbean Coast.
