Venezuela: “What is happening in Venezuela today has a precedent: on April 11, 2002, when they were behind that coup d’état and recognized the dictator Pedro Carmona Estanga,” said the Minister of People’s Power for Foreign Affairs, Jorge Arreaza, from the United Nations Security Council in New York, United States. The United States “is not behind the coup d’état in Venezuela but in front of it.”
China: “We urge all parties in Venezuela to continue to be rational and to remain calm and to bear in mind the fundamental interests of the country and its people to seek a political solution to the issues in the face of a peaceful dialogue within the framework of the Venezuelan Constitution.”
