Caracas, 04 Feb. AVN. The Venezuelan right lacks political backing in the country, which is why its leadership must turn to "its bosses" in the U.S. government to define the strategy to follow, said the first vice president of the National Constituent Assembly (ANC), Tania Diaz.
"This opposition does not have the political majority of the country and that's why it has to resort to calling on their U.S. patrons, even for organizing the demonstrations in Venezuela," she said during her intervention in the international day of solidarity "We are Venezuela: Democracy and Peace," held in the Antonio José de Sucre Yellow House, located in Caracas.
Díaz indicated that the right, represented by the National Assembly (AN) currently in contempt of court, "entrenched itself" in the legitimacy granted to it by a fraction of the people in the 2015 legislative elections to "ignore, rise up and subvert" the rest of the Public Powers.
On that issue, she pointed out that the purpose of the opposition is to destroy the institutionality of the Republic, she also pointed out that this agenda is aligned with that of the supremacist government of the United States.
She pointed out that the opposition "cannot govern" as long as the 1999 Constitution of the Republic remains in force, since it would prevent them from handing over the wealth of Venezuela, the main objective of the U.S. government.
"They need to repeal the Constitution in order to fulfill their political mission, for this reason there is no dialogue. Dialogue and elections for them is a platform against which they entrench themselves in their parliamentary legitimacy so as to subvert Venezuela's political order," he added on VTV.
Faced with this scenario, she stressed that the role of those who exercise responsibilities in the state is to "stand up for the people," as well as continue to be the voice of the excluded and guarantee the pleading role rotagonism of popular power.
"Tthe new Constitution that we are going to write, will give more power to the people because they deserve it, because they have earned it, and because we are going to make sure that this Revolution will be irreversible," he said.
