COMMUNIQUE
1. The Government of Reconciliation and National Unity, informs our people, the Nicaraguan Brothers and Sisters who are abroad and the International Community, the approval and implementation of the Program for Assisted Voluntary Return of Nicaraguans who left the country in the context of the events that occurred since April 18, 2018.
2. We also communicate that the Delegation of the Government of Reconciliation and National Unity at the Table of Negotiation, presented this Program proposal last April 10 to the Delegation of the ACJD this Program proposal, not reaching consensus, because of the objections of said Delegation.
3. In spite of this, and due to the invariable Commitment of the GRUN with the Unity and Reuniting Nicaraguan Families, we inform the approval and implementation of this Program, which will guarantee the assisted voluntary return of the Nicaraguan Brothers and Sisters who are abroad, ensuring that they be received with fraternity, cordiality and solidarity, contributing positively with the Peace, Tranquility, Security and Reconciliation of all Nicaraguans.
4. This Program has the support and technical assistance of the International Organization for Migration (IOM), which will request the cooperation of the International Community.
5. The Government of Reconciliation and National Unity ratifies to the Nicaraguan Families and the International Community their willingness and commitment to guarantee with due responsibility the implementation and fulfillment of the Program for Assisted Voluntary Return of Nicaraguans who are Abroad, who left the country in the context of the events that took place since April 18, 2018.
