BEFORE THE NEGOTIATION TABLE

The GRUN Delegation at the Negotiation Table, informs our People and the International Community, that the Informative Exchange developed this morning, between the OAS International Expert, Mr. Cristóbal Fernández, the Witnesses and Companions at the Negotiation has concluded.
In this Informative Exchange, the Procedures were for the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding for the Institutional Political-Electoral Strengthening of the Republic of Nicaragua, signed between the State and the Government of Nicaragua, and the Secretary General of the OAS, since February 28 were addressed.
As it is known, the Special Government-SG / OAS Commission, created to accompany efforts aimed at Institutional Political-Electoral strengthening in Nicaragua, was advancing until mid-2018, and today's Information Exchange is part of the updating of the Work Plans agreed upon in the context of the State of Nicaragua and SG/OAS relationship.
Mr. Cristóbal Fernández reported on the objectives of the Program aimed at strengthening the Electoral Processes, which will be developed in three areas: 1. Proposal for Electoral Reforms; 2. Technical Support to the Supreme Electoral Council (CSE); 3. Implementation of Technical Recommendations to the CSE.
The Delegation of the GRUN at the Negotiation Table reporting on the Meeting, once again ratifies to our People and the International Community, its full disposition to continue fulfilling the Agreements already taken, and advance in the Conversations toward Consensus and Proposals for implementation, to ensure Peace and Stability for the Nicaraguan Families.
