PRESS RELEASE FROM THE GRUN
DELEGATION TO THE NEGOTIATION TABLE

1. The Government of Reconciliation and National Unity once again demands seriousness from the Members of the Counterpart, and above all those who at the Table assume responsibilities over Agreements that must be taken in Consensus, for the Good of Nicaragua.
2. The people that make up the Delegation of the Counterpart cannot adduce a dual, claiming that at the Table they are one thing, and on the Streets or on Social Media they can do and say the opposite.
3. We once again demand absolute responsibility with what our people demand of those who, despite destroying the country and have sown chaos, unemployment, mourning and pain with their terrorist actions in favor of the coup and are now sitting at the table, where we must produce the expected results.
4. In no way can be fair that we have one discourse at the negotiation table and another with the press and on social media, insulting the intelligence of our people and aiming to continue deceiving, contradicting the agreements that we are supposedly willing to take.
5. We claim and demand respect, consistency and coherence regarding the tone of the conversations that the pending Agreements must produce.
6. Once again we demand an end to the irreverent, crazy and chaotic trickery that nobody finds amusing and that only creates more animosity against those who from their particular comforts have the luxury of continuing to exhibit insensitivity, precariousness, misery and pettiness, both mental and spiritual.
7. May sanity be restored and may the unhappy madness of a Counterpart that only knows Terrorism, stop once and for all, the very ones that do not have the stature or quality necessary to propitiate Understanding.
8. What Nature does not give; Life will not lend! We need mature, credible, sensible, sane and courageous interlocutors. Because Peace is not foolishness, nor quackery, Peace demands Courage and Decision.
9. Yesterday, May 9, despite the incongruent, arrogant and childish attitudes and despite the malice and vulgarity of certain characters, we were able to move forward. We reiterate that any Agreement or Proposed Agreement is fulfilled in accordance with the Constitution and Laws of our Nicaragua.
10. The GRUN Delegation at the Negotiation Table reiterates to the Nicaraguan Families and the International Community, our unwavering and irrevocable Commitment to Comply with the Agreements already signed, toward those that are still pending agreement, as well as on the Implementation Mechanisms, all of which must be in accordance to the Nicaraguan Legal Framework.
11. The GRUN Delegation at the Negotiation Table salutes and recognizes the tireless, patient, persevering and effective work of the International Witnesses and Guarantors, His Excellency Monsignor Waldemar Stanilaw Sommertag, Apostolic Nuncio of His Holiness Pope Francis in Nicaragua, and Mr. Luis Ángel Rosadilla, Special Advisor to the Secretary General of the OAS.
12. We trust in God, from our Christian Faith, to continue advancing, “asking for Peace... for Love between Brothers and Companions...”, and we wish each other as a People of Hope, “Let Peace be and may we continue searching for Good.”
13. Today, May 10, we diligently attend our tasks at the Table, invoking God to continue “guarding our goings and comings... for now and forever.”
Peace is not imprudence... Peace demands Goodness, Sensibility, and above all Truth, with Sense and Commitment for Humanity!
