Brother Comrade,
On this solemn and joyful occasion of inspiration and national pride, on behalf of the People and Government of Reconciliation and National Unity Republic of Nicaragua, and on our own behalf, we wish to convey to You, the Government and People of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, our warmest congratulations for the celebration of the 40th Anniversary of Independence.
On October 27, 1979, the People of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines initiated their journey of Independence, Dignity, Self-determination and National Sovereignty.
The Government of Nicaragua wishes to reiterate its unwavering commitment to continue moving forward together addressing the challenges, both historic and recent, that has threatened all that has been built for the freedom and independence of our Peoples, promoting the defense of our Ideals, Principles and Purposes to achieve unity and development, through mutual cooperation.

We also take this opportunity to recognize the achievements of the Government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, that over the last years and under your Firm and Revolutionary Leadership, has led its People on the path of Peace, Prosperity, Wellbeing and International Recognition.
The desire of our peoples is to achieve Development and Long-lasting Peace. For this reason, we feel proud to reiterate our commitment to continue strengthening the bonds of Brotherhood, Solidarity and Cooperation that unite our Peoples and Governments.
