WOMEN'S DIGNITY
AND NON-VIOLENCE DAY
Sisters and Brothers
from Our Blessed and Always Free Nicaragua:
Dear Families of our Nicaragua of Love, Light, Life and Truth:
Today is November 25 and we celebrate together in Home, Family and Unity, Women’s Dignity and Non-violence Day, and not only violence against Women, but in general. Non-violence is a Model and Way of Life that exalts us as Human Beings that want to live in Peace, Amongst us All, With All, and for the Good of All.
Nicaraguan Women have advanced from our Original Courage, in Rights, in Singular Protagonism, in Talent and in our Revealing Capacity, exercising our Leadership, as capable, responsible and effective People; Intelligent Leaders that have established a place in the World among the first Countries with gender equality.
We congratulate ourselves on our Advances; we congratulate ourselves on that Talented Sensitivity that God strengthens in us every day; we congratulate ourselves on our Commitment to a Country where Caring and Respect strengthen us all.
We congratulate each other for a Country where the Dignity of others is recognized and fully incorporated into Respectful Practices, which constitute a Special Virtue, from
which we work to learn more and try to be even better.
We inherit a Patriarchal and Machista Culture that did not know Women as Whole, integral, intelligent, sensitive and ingenious People, full of a particular Light, the Feminine Light, of Women who from the Family, such as Mothers, Partners, Daughters, Sisters, Aunts, Grandmothers, always try to enforce the Unity that generates Joy, Happiness and the Optimism essential to build improvement in our Lives.
We have worked so that this violent, macho, dominant, subjugating, and ignorant culture can be eradicated, by advancing and creating Consciousness, with Love and Hope, in Better Times and towards Better Days.
We are working with rigor, and with the entire Society, all the Organizational Expressions of our Society, all the Institutions of our State and Government, to apply, according to our Constitution and Laws, the full weight of Justice, against those who dare violate the Rights of Women anywhere in this Sacred Land of Ours, to undermine their Rights and/or harass, besiege, stalk, mistreat, insult, or, in the extreme of cases, injure or deprive any Woman from their Life.
Our State and Government and the Sandinista Front for National Liberation, recognize and defend the Rights of All to Live in Peace, and the Right, of course, of all Nicaraguan Women to live with Respect in Unity, at Home and in Family, in Work and Life, in the Region, in the Neighborhood and in the Community.
Any crime, such as harassment, abuse, dis-crimination, sexual disrespect, and unacceptable violence, rape or femicide, as reiterated by our Authorities, will be punished accordingly, as cruel, humiliating, degrading and atrocious crimes that are being and will continue to be fought in Nicaragua.
On this Day of Celebration for Women’s Dignity and of Fight of Everyone for Non-violence against us, but also extending that Fight to the claim and demand of Non-violence against the Nicaraguan People, we continue proclaiming that Respect in all its shapes is the key to live in peace, prospering and achieving the Well-being that everyone wants and deserves.
We denounce, and we will continue to denounce and request that in any circumstance or manner, the Maximum Penalty be applied against those who run over us, as well as, as Women, we demand the application of the Law against those who intend to attempt against Peace, against the Rights of All, and especially against those who continue to play with fire, pretending to conquer Nicaragua, from an obsolete, obtuse and repudiated minority, for imperial domination, or for submission, and to the atrocious and savage Capitalism that has wanted to destroy Nicaragua.
Women have Hope! Women continue to advance with Pride! Women continue fighting with a Firm and Consequent Character, against the degrading, ignorant, criminal and absurd Machism in these Times in the World.
We say No to any form of Violence! Yes to the Magnificent and Powerful Spirit of all Women! Yes to life! Yes, Yes, Yes, to Peace and Affection! Hate Crimes are eradicated with the Eternal and Inexhaustible Force of Love!
Long live Nicaraguan Women!
We want to live in peace!
Our Always Blessed and Always Free Nicaragua is for Freedom, Harmony, Love, Goodness, Solidarity, and Common Good!
