STATEMENT BY THE DELEGATION OF NICARAGUA AT THE ORDINARY SESSION
OF THE ORGANIZATION OF AMERICAN STATES PERMANENT COUNCIL
ON 25 NOVEMBER 2019
Mr. President:
1. The Government of the Republic of Nicaragua, in full exercise of its sovereignty, has rejected and declared the interventionist resolution of the last OAS General Assembly and the attempt to create a Commission regarding Nicaragua, as well as the actions and reports emanated from it, of absolute nullity and without any binding effect for our country.
2. We reiterate the official position of the Government of Nicaragua to consider the so-called High Level Commission of the OAS as non-existent, therefore, something that does not exist cannot provide reports or opinions, much less recommendations or impositions. We take all their actions as non-existent.
3. The Government of Nicaragua as a free, independent, sovereign and self-determined country reaffirms its path for Peace, Stability, Security and progress, framed in the fulfillment of its Constitution, its Rule of Law, its genuine Democracy and the General Elections to be held in the year 2021.
