Special guests and members of the press that accompany us.
1. The delegation of the Republic of Nicaragua conveys the cordial greetings of Peace and Respect of the People of Nicaragua, the President of the Republic Comandante Daniel Ortega Saavedra, and Vice President, Compañera Rosario Murillo, to the people and Government of Mexico and their President, Comrade Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
2. Our Respect to the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Heads of Delegation of the Member States of Latin America-Caribbean, gathered in this ceremony of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States, CELAC, convened and coordinated by Our Brother Marcelo Ebrard in the PPT of CELAC. We all wish you a Happy New Year, Prosperity, Peace and Security.
3. This Meeting represents a unique and very special opportunity to boost and further deepen the Progress, achievements and Construction of New Horizons for our Community, inspired by the work of the heroes and Liberators, fully assuming their legacy as the founding heritage of our Community of Latin American and Caribbean States.
4. With due respect and consideration to the Peoples, Governments, Foreign Ministers and Heads of Delegations of the States repre-sented here, the Nicaraguan delegation greets and recalls with due recognition the Heads of State and Government of Latin America and the Caribbean that made possible the founding and strengthening of CELAC as a Forum for Dialogue, unity convergence, solidarity among brotherly peoples, with common history, that makes us sensitive to strengthening our identity, our patriotic feelings of independence Sove-reignty and self-determination, values inherited from our ancestors, which we share with positive pride.
5. We recall the outstanding momentum and dynamics that the Presidents of Cuba Comandante Fidel Castro Ruz and the Boli-varian Republic of Venezuela Commander Hugo Chávez Frías gave to CELAC.
6. Today, Mexico, with the Government of Comrade President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, retakes and reactivates its operation for the coming together of all our countries in harmony, reunion, Peace and Unity for the common good of our peoples.
7. Today, we ratify once again CELAC as a Forum for Fraternal Union for Development, Justice and Peace, of this Our America; a forum that aims to strengthen each day with Dialogue, Concord and Consensus.
8. We express the support of Nicaragua and congratulate Mexico, its Government, and its People, in the Presidency of this Forum for Fraternal Union and we wish him the best of successes in the leadership of CELAC, during his Presidency.

9. The Government of Reconciliation and National Unity, consistent with its commit-ment to strengthen the ties of brotherhood between the Latin American and Caribbean peoples, expresses support for Mexico's proposal on the working areas for the PPT 2020 of CELAC
