Excellency,
On behalf of the People, the Government of Reconciliation and National Unity of the Republic of Nicaragua, and on our own behalf, we express our deep Condolences to You, to the People of Great Britain and the people of Northern Ireland, for the Transit to another Plane of Life of the Nobel Laureate, John Hume.
In this time of mourning, we recall his commitment to reconciliation, his invaluable contribution to the Good Friday Agreements that brought peace to Northern Ireland, and his international recognized dedication to the common good.
We trust that your Government and the people of Great Britain and the people of Northern Irish People, especially the family of The Honourable John Hume, will find Comfort in his Legacy, remembering him as a model for generations of fighters for peace and justice throughout the world.
