Lunes 24 septiembre, celebración de la Virgen de la Merced.
En su día principal la imagen de la Virgen de la Merced es celebrada en la ciudad de León como su Patrona oficial, su procesión es por la tarde y es majestuosa. Los devotos del barrio de Sutiava elaboran en las calles donde pasa la procesión las famosas alfombras de aserrín policromadas con figuras pasionarias.
También se celebra en Mateare, en Matagalpa, en el Jicaral y en Chinandega.
